Who are the Bloggers of the ABN?
Any blogger is welcome to join the Author / Blogger Network. Bloggers with a proven track record of writing excellent reviews are invited to join the Elite Circle – the Elite Circle is our promise to authors that the reviews they receive will be high quality, honest assessments by excellent bloggers.
Where will the Bloggers post their reviews?
All ABN bloggers will post their reviews on GoodReads and on their individual blogs. They are also asked to consider posting their reviews on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords, where appropriate. It’s important to realize that Amazon’s TOS claim copyright for any reviews written on their site so some bloggers prefer not to post there, but all are asked to consider submitting a partial or summary review.
How much does it cost?
Right now? Nothing. It costs you some time and copies of your book, but that’s it! Eventually we will add some paid services, but even when we transition into a cost structure we plan to keep things very affordable.
What’s the difference between the ABN and the Elite Circle?
The primary difference is that bloggers of the Elite Circle have been evaluated based on their history of writing high quality book reviews, and the bloggers of the Author / Blogger Network have not. It’s worth mentioning that all Elite Circle bloggers are members of both groups but not all ABN reviewers have been evaluated and this group is open to anyone who wishes to join. If authors are looking for a relationship with bloggers and are less concerned with the quality of the book reviews, the ABN is the best choice. If an author is looking for a collection of high quality reviews by selected bloggers, the Elite Circle is a better choice.
What types of books are accepted for reviews?
The Author / Blogger Network is currently focused around young adult and middle grade fiction. We have tested a few other titles in the ABN and right now we don’t have a sufficient number of participating bloggers to provide a reasonable number of reviews for authors of other genres. We expect this to change over time as the composition of our bloggers evolves, so stay tuned for updates!
